[RESOLVED]Another DHL nightmare thread

    I'm deplorable, only I merely need to go my frustrations out of my system.

    I ordered a OnePlus 5T a couple of days ago. Information technology "manifestly" shipped pretty fast from Poland to Copenhagen, information technology's destination, and yesterday I was expecting it to be delivered as it arrived at the sorting facility very early forenoon, but the tracker didn't update the unabridged day and by the end of the 24-hour interval the delivery date had changed to yesterday "by the finish of the twenty-four hours" to "The Estimated Commitment Date is currently unavailable. Please attempt again subsequently." I googled this and panicked and raged a little over the amount of times this has happened to people in the past, feeling betrayed, ripped off and agape that my parcel was lost somewhere.

    Fast forward to this morn, and I call DHL. The woman on the phone explains to me that the phone is, in fact, not in Denmark AT ALL. It wasn't on the container from Poland that it SHOULD take shipped with. To this ane might wonder: why the **** don't you lot do annihilation nigh it immediately instead of waiting for me to call you! She told me she would begin an investigation in Poland immediately, but that I certainly wouldn't become the telephone today, much to my disappointment subsequently having promised it delivered yesterday. She was pretty rude, didn't apologize on behalf of her company's error, and now I'k left waiting for something that might have been lost or stolen in Poland. I payed a ******* premium in extra shipping fees to get "fast and secure delivery" in addition to the price of the phone, which isn't expensive merely it's heavy on my personal budget, and this is what I get. OnePlus doesn't desire to refund the premium shipping costs, I've asked.

    FIRST UPDATE: Phone has not been located in Poland. DHL will call me every bit presently every bit they take news from Leipzig.

    SECOND UPDATE: Apparently my phone was accidentally sent to a facility in Republic of mali, Westward Africa. Woopty doo. It should take been sent from Mali to my location. I don't know how long information technology'due south going to take. I wait to have more news tomorrow. I have updated the tracker to reflect this.

    THIRD UPDATE: The package has been processed in Bamako, Mali. I'thou just going to update this every time I see the tracker has updated.

    FOURTH UPDATE: The package has finally left Mali, on course towards Copenhagen I promise. With any luck it will get in at the sorting facility early morning.

    FIFTH UPDATE: The package has at present arrived at a sort facility in Paris. I'yard a little surprised that they didn't send information technology directly to Copenhagen. I'k not expecting to receive the parcel today.

    SIXTH UPDATE: The woman handling the example just called me to explicate that the DHL guys in Poland accidentally put my phone in the wrong container and was sent to Mali. This doesn't explain why it was scanned in Leipzig and Denmark and why it appears on the map in a tracking app where it seems to travelled FROM Denmark to Africa and back to Europe. Very fishy.

    Seventh UPDATE: My phone has been processed in Paris

    EIGHT UPDATE: Departed facility in Paris

    9th UPDATE: Package finally arrived in Denmark this morning and is with the carrier for delivery erstwhile today "by the stop of the 24-hour interval"

    TENTH AND FINAL UPDATE: So, I finally got the phone, and it's great. I really like it. Everything seems to be in order, the phone wasn't missing or anything, and the package didn't await like it had been opened or tampered with, though information technology did look a little dingy. I even got my coin back for the shipping, which was a huge surprise to me actually, so I'm really happy about that!

    So, my final words: Give thanks y'all to everyone who commented, helped me, showed sympathy and generally just agreed with the fact that this whole state of affairs has been completely ridiculous. For anyone considering buying a OnePlus 5T through the official website, I promise you see my thread, because you need to go in with "realistic" expectations of how your packet will be treated by DHL lol. If yous ask me it might even be easier to just buy it through your telephone company or some other retailer, unless you just actually want the phone for the cheapest cost possible. Fifty-fifty so, unless you absolutely MUST have tracking (and tracking is a good matter in case messed upwards things like this should happen) and so go alee and buy priority shipping, but don't expect information technology to necessarily bear witness up within the 1-three days promised, and don't be agape to mutter and claim your money back if information technology doesn't. I expect the package volition show up on time in most cases, but I was very unlucky, and apparently I'm not the just 1.

Everything seems to be in club, the phone wasn't missing or anything, and the packet didn't look similar it had been opened or tampered with, though it did expect a niggling dirty. If you ask me it might even exist easier to merely buy it through your telephone company or another retailer, unless you just really desire the phone for the cheapest price possible. Even then, unless you absolutely MUST have tracking (and tracking is a adept affair in case messed up things like this should happen) and so go ahead and buy priority shipping, but don't look it to necessarily show up within the 1-three days promised, and don't exist afraid to complain and claim your money back if it doesn't. I await the package will prove upwardly on time in most cases, simply I was very unlucky, and apparently I'm not the just ane.

    Practise you have the phone? If they find the package is lost, do yous think it'due south worth it to enquire OnePlus to send me one more? I actually, really, really, really want this phone, maybe even more than than I would want a Pixel two, which I tin't even afford, merely I accept lost a lot of faith in their option of carrier and I don't feel confident that they are actually capable of delivering a device to me. I accept never, ever, in my entire life, had a packet I've ordered become lost in the process, and with my first time with DHl, they lose information technology

    I'one thousand considering canceling this club and ownership a Pixel ane from within my country, but I don't know if it's worth information technology.

    Besides, what do you hateful with "log a support phone call" ? OnePlus doesn't have a phone service as far as I'm aware.

    if this is the case you volition accept your phone, it will merely be delivered tardily.

    yous have suggested you paid for fast delivery so my respond to you was log a oneplus support call if you desire to get this coin dorsum from them equally the phone has not arrived within the the faster delivery timescale.

    Unfortunately I don't share your optimism, only I'thou waiting for their update on Leipzig so there is still a chance.

    I chatted with OnePlus support and the person told me that he couldn't refund the shipping. I assume they're going to tell me the aforementioned the next fourth dimension I ask, no matter how much I insist. Merely I am going to insist. You say "log a support phone call", though, and they don't take telephone support.

    If you won't receive phone in a week, open dispute in PayPal and you will get your money back. PayPal is known for fair treating customers in such cases.

    If so, open a ticket with OnePlus support and PM me your support ticket number.
    I tin escalate to OnePlus CS and come across if the logistics team can advise further

    Edit: looking at the packet log history, information technology appears that it did reach DHL Copenhagen since its been scanned at that location.

    Hello, Sonia. Thanks for taking your time to respond. Its nice to have a moderator assistance me with the instance.

To that I have to say, delight read my OP again thoroughly: "OnePlus doesn't want to refund the premium shipping costs, I've asked" - it's before the edit at the cease of the OP. And further down, in response to Izzykasha, I write: "I chatted with OnePlus support and the person told me that he couldn't refund the shipping. I assume they're going to tell me the same the next time I ask, no affair how much I insist. Simply I am going to insist." - I have not chatted with OnePlus since then, but I still experience that the extra coin I payed for fast and secure shipping has gone to waste, and I will demand for that coin to be refunded.

    Secondly, you quote my tracker which says that the packet was scanned in Denmark, simply again, if you read my post carefully I say: "Fast forrard to this morning, and I call DHL. The woman on the phone explains to me that the phone is, in fact, not in Denmark AT ALL. It wasn't on the container from Poland that information technology SHOULD accept shipped with. " - so no, it can't take been scanned in Denmark if what the woman says is true. I realise that it's odd, and I don't understand how something like this can happen. Simply I now have further show to support this fact, every bit my tracker finally updated today at 15:28:

    The phone arrived in ******* Mali. I know, right?! How do yous botch something that badly?! And when I called DHL again at 16:30, an hr the tracker was updated, the guy didn't tell me this (I was out walking) and just told me to look for the woman in charge of my instance to contact me tomorrow. Just how lazy can y'all be???

    Frustrations bated, if I'g to believe this little update, the package is finally on it's fashion. From Africa, granted, and yes information technology seems suspicious, simply we'll see what happens tomorrow. I exercise non have a ticket number with OnePlus as I don't believe starting a conversation gives you something similar that, simply honestly no affair what the tracker says I have lost all conviction in DHL, and so I call back I'll start a instance, get a ticket and give it to you.

    Lol Republic of mali. I retrieve Oneplus need to finish using DHL in Europe. I've seen countless comments on their Facebook page likewise. Horror stories indeed.

    Go along us updated when you go your parcel and hopefully refund for shopping costs. This is definitely non fast shipping.

    well if their grammar is correct, DHL considered the Copenhagen center to exist the incorrect destination and the Bamako eye to be the correct one. (there is a catamenia between the 2 phrases.
    (Some guy probably saw 1+ on the box and sent it to friends then they could share the spoils. Either DHL is faster than those guys, either your phone will before long be in some shop in Bamako, sold for twice the cost (as many brands do not sell in many African countries, their value goes upwards).

Information technology'southward in Mali at present, just it wasn't sent there by accident. That phone is not coming back. I'm going on the chat with OnePlus immediately.     he is going to get a 5t Either his original i, either DHL will finance it. All I'm saying is a package cannot get from Copenhagen to be delivered in the local surface area to being sent to Bamako by mistake. It has to be a deliberate move by a handler. local packages and transit packages do not follow the aforementioned path in the facility. what's more: EU internal packages and imports/exports from European union are non treated the aforementioned way (mainly due to duties and costums wanting to have a look), this is why 1+ uses a shine facility to send phones within the EU.

    I'm not frigthened. I'g angry, only I'm confident that I will at least become my money back, worst case scenario. In fact, this situation has become and so ridiculous that information technology's about funny to me now and I'm kind of enjoying information technology lol.
